Fire incidents were reported in two separate locations of Karachi on Monday, prompting emergency response operations by Rescue 1122, officials said.
According to a spokesperson for Rescue 1122 Sindh, a fire broke out at a residential house near the Inquiry Office in Nazimabad No. 2.
Upon receiving the information, the Central Command and Control of Rescue 1122 immediately dispatched fire and rescue teams along with an ambulance and a fire brigade truck to the site. Efforts to bring the blaze under control were underway at the time of reporting.
In a separate incident, a fire erupted at a used-clothing factory located in the Landhi Export Processing Zone. The spokesperson said the fire started on the second floor of a factory named ZA Enterprises. As it was after working hours, no employees were present inside the factory when the fire broke out.
Rescue 1122 teams, along with ambulances, fire brigade trucks and snorkel units, were rushed to the scene soon after the alert was received. A total of eight fire tenders and two snorkels were taking part in the firefighting operation.
The intensity of the fire remained high, and firefighting efforts were continuing. However, no loss of life was reported in either incident, the spokesperson confirmed.
