JCP confirms six additional judges of PHC

ISLAMABAD: Judicial Commission of Pakistan recommended to confirm six additional judges of the Peshawar High Court, and granted extension to four PHC judges.

The JCP (Peshawar High Court) met on Wednesday at the Conference Room of the Supreme Court of Pakistan for making recommendations for confirmation of Additional Judges as Judges of the Peshawar High Court. The meeting was chaired by the Chief Justice of Pakistan, being the Chairperson.

The Commission after due consideration of the relevant Data Form, Antecedents and evaluation of material placed before by majority of its total membership recommended to confirm the Additional Judges – Justice Muhammad Tariq Afridi, Justice Abdul Fayaz, Justice Salah ud Din, Justice Sadiq Ali, Justice Syed Mudasser Ameer, and Justice Qazi Jawad Ehsanullah – as the judges of the Peshawar High Court.

Similarly, The Commission, by majority of its total membership, recommended extension of term of the Additional Judges of the Peshawar High Court – Justice Farah Jamshed, Justice InamUllah Khan, Justice SabitUllah Khan, and Justice Aurangzeb – for six months.
