Sindh launches E-Transfer system to digitise teachers’ transfer process

KARACHI: The Sindh Education Department has implemented an E-Transfer System for the transfer of teachers and employees, Sindh Education Department said on Wednesday.

The E-Transfer System will formally become operational from January 15 and will be expanded in phases to ensure effective results.

As part of the journey to digitize the School Education Department, the E-Transfer System has been approved by the provincial cabinet.

In the first phase, the system has been introduced for teachers, and it will later be extended to include all employees of the department.

Teachers will now be able to submit their transfer applications online and check the status of their applications from home.

Sindh Minister for Education Syed Sardar Ali Shah stated that moving the transfer system online will promote transparency and merit.

On the directives of the provincial education minister, the Sindh Education Department has replaced the traditional transfer mechanism by digitizing the process.

This initiative is expected to save time, reduce costs, and eliminate unnecessary administrative hurdles.

Currently, a total of 133,547 teachers are serving in the Sindh School Education Department, including 105,258 Primary School Teachers and 28,289 Junior Elementary School Teachers.

The use of modern technology in the education sector will further improve administrative efficiency and transparency, the Sindh education minister said.

He added that the E-Transfer System would prove effective in eliminating favoritism and delays in teachers’ transfers.
