Bank holiday on Thursday

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that it will remain closed for public dealings on Thursday, 1 January 2026, as the day will be observed as a bank holiday.

In a statement on Tuesday, SBP said all banks / DFIs / MFBs shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on the aforementioned date.

“However, all employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend the office as usual,” it added.
