KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Saturday formally inaugurated the modern solar-powered water treatment plant established under the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation in Darya Khan Gabol Goth, Gadap Town. The capacity of storage of water is also made 10000 gallon per day.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Parliamentary Leader in the City Council Karamullah Waqasi, Gadap Town UC Chairman Mubarak Gabol, City Council members, other elected representatives, and a large number of local dignitaries.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, the Mayor said that the completion of the modern RO plant is a clear reflection of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision for public welfare.
He said the Pakistan Peoples Party was completing projects in the city that would directly benefit citizens. “This plant will purify underground water using modern technology, making it safe and usable, which will ensure a continuous, reliable, and high-quality supply of clean water to the residential areas,” he said.
This is the first RO plant in Gadap that will ensure doorstep water delivery to residents, which has now been made operational. Not only is water being supplied around the RO plant, but 15 water lines have also been installed across various streets in the villages to ensure reliable delivery of clean water.
