SSGC appoints Zafar Abbas as director

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) Limited announced on Tuesday the appointment of Zafar Abbas, Additional Secretary, Petroleum Division, as an Ex-Officio Director on the Board.

The information was shared in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) today.

The notice said that he was co opted by the board on the nomination of the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division).

Abbas will be replacing Mirza Nasiruddin Mashhood Ahmad, who was appointed on January 13.

SSGC’s main activity is the transmission and distribution of natural gas in Sindh and Balochistan. The company is also engaged in certain activities related to the gas business, including the manufacturing and sale of gas meters and construction contracts for laying of pipelines.
