US condemns Imambargah blast

ISLAMABAD: The United States on Friday strongly condemned the terrorist attack targeting innocent worshippers at an Imambargah in Tarlai area of capital, which resulted in several fatalities and injuries.

In a statement, Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker expressed heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and those injured in the attack.

She reaffirmed the US’s firm stance against all acts of terror and violence, emphasising that attacks on civilians and places of worship are unacceptable.

“The people of Pakistan deserve safety, dignity, and the ability to practise their faith without fear,” she said.

She also reiterated the United States’ ongoing support for Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace and security.

“We remain committed to our partnership aimed at advancing stability in the region,” she added. “We stand with Pakistan during this challenging moment.”
