ISLAMABAD: Aviation expert Mohsin Jamil has said that launching a private airline from Balochistan has become an urgent need of the time.
He also stressed that the role of office-bearers and members of the Quetta Balochistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QBCCI) is of key importance for launching of the new airline.
He expressed these views while speaking during a meeting with the office-bearers and members of the Quetta Balochistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday.
He urged them to come forward and establish a private airline in the province on the model of the Sialkot business community, stating that such an initiative would prove to be a great blessing for both the business community and the general public.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held between the aviation expert and chamber representatives on the framework of a proposed private airline. The participants also deliberated on future strategies and agreed to continue consultations in this regard.
Patron-in-Chief of the Quetta Balochistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Haji Ghulam Farooq Khilji, President Haji Muhammad Ayub Mariani, Vice President Engineer Mir Wais Khan Kakar, and other representatives said that the Balochistan High Court had also issued directives to the chamber regarding the launch of a private airline from the province. They expressed their strong desire and commitment to initiate a private airline to address the difficulties faced by the business community and the public in accessing quality air travel facilities.
They further assured that the office-bearers and members of the Quetta Balochistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry are fully prepared to extend all possible cooperation in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion, aviation expert Mohsin Jamil said that if the Balochistan business community succeeds in launching a private airline, it would mark a major milestone for the province. He reiterated that starting a private airline from Balochistan is a pressing need of the time and emphasized once again the crucial role of the chamber’s leadership and members in making this vision a reality.
At the end of the meeting, the Quetta Balochistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented a commemorative shield to aviation expert Mohsin Jamil.
