Pakistan, Jordan discuss regional security, defence cooperation

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) of the Jordan Armed Forces, Major General Yousef Ahmed A. Al Huneiti, on Wednesday called on Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, evolving regional security dynamics and prospects for enhancing bilateral defence and military cooperation.

The visiting dignitary commended the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and appreciated their role in promoting regional peace and stability.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening defence ties with Jordan and underscored the importance of collaborative efforts to effectively address emerging security challenges.

Pakistan, Oman navies sign MoU on maritime information sharing

The meeting concluded with a mutual resolve to deepen military-to-military cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
